Over thirty years ago, Wild Bear began as a bold dream: a mountain summer camp launched with just $500 to connect children with nature. That spark grew into a vibrant year-round hub serving local schools, summer camps, and multi-generational families. We welcomed over 20,000 annual visitors to our free nature center before it was lost in the October 2025 Lakeview Fire.
Now we are building the highest-elevation, net-zero nature center in the United States.
