Make Your Own Herbal Chocolates w/ Ashley
Ever wonder how to make a healthy herbal chocolate treat? Come join Ashley in an all ages event learning how to make delicious healthy treats for kids and adults that include local and regional herbs. Each participant will walk away creating their own herbal chocolate treat perfect to recreate for Valentines Day or a snowy day!
Additional chocolates, pine-based body butters and local biodynamic salves will be available after class for purchase too.
Permaculture Introduction Course
Permaculture is a design science that uses nature as a model for designing human systems–from farms to cities. Through the lens of several inspiring local case studies, we will touch on topics such as the permaculture design process, techniques for rainwater-harvesting, designing forest gardens, integrating animals into living systems, and social design. There will be plenty of time for discussion and engagement with other participants.
Know Before You Go Avalanche Safety & POW Presentation
Know Before You Go (KBYG) and Protect Our Winters (POW) are teaming up to present about how to be responsible outdoor recreators in terms of safety and sustainability in the winter mountains.
KBYG is a free avalanche awareness program. In about an hour, you will see the destructive power of avalanches, understand when and why they happen, and how you can have fun in the mountains and avoid avalanches.
POW helps passionate outdoor people protect the places we live and lifestyles we love from climate change. We are a community of athletes, scientists, creatives, and business leaders advancing non-partisan policies that protect our world today and for future generations
Wilderness First Aid Course w/ Mountain Waves Wellness
Join Wild Bear and Mountain Waves Wellness founder, Cali Fraser, to learn important new skills for survival, wilderness safety, and rescue. Earn a A.H.A. BLS/CPR for Healthcare Providers certification & ASHI WFA during this interactive two day outdoor course. This course is a great opportunity for anyone wanting to grow in their skills and confidence in exploring the outdoors safely.
Conservation Connection with Dave Johnson
Join us in person or virtually to experience Dave Johnson share his passion for conservation across the globe. He'll be bringing his conservation themed books (geared towards 4th-6th graders), and some animal artifacts to engage everyone in his stories of advocating for conservation around the world.

2nd Annual Earth Connected Artists Pop-Up Gallery in Support of Nederland & Sugarloaf Fire Protection Districts
This exhibition is an opportunity for Earth Connected Artists to interpret nature, climate change, and other environmental topics, including fire and ecology - inspiring others to love and protect the earth.
Climate Action: Climate Reality Presentation w/ Eryka Thorley & Timothy Rehder
In this multimedia presentation we’ll discuss climate change - the science, the politics, and we’ll wrap up on a positive note rooted in real life solutions. Birthed from Al Gore's Climate Reality Project, Eryka Thorley, Nederland’s Sustainability Coordinator and Climate Reality Leader will integrate a local perspective where possible.
