Owl Ambassadors at Winter Solstice Celebration w/Nature's Educators (All Ages)

Join Wild Bear as we host our friends from Nature's Educators and their Owl Ambassadors to celebrate the Winter Solstice. Nature's Educators will be rotating three different owls for us to meet during their visit to the nature center. Expect to learn about these incredible nocturnal hunters, their winter routine, wonderful night time adaptations, and our feathered friends importance to our mountain home.

Enchanted Forest - On Hold!

Kids of all ages are invited to unleash their creativity, paint, craft and build enchanting fairy houses! 🏰🧚‍♀️🖌️ During Enchanted Forest, families and children of all ages take a tour on the trail and meet forest creatures (costumed characters) and learn about their natural habitats. Everyone enjoys goodies in provided goody bags, live owls and eagles, magic and music throughout the day. Face-painting, fairy-house building, magic, partner booths, drinks, live music and more!

Frozen Dead Guy Days at Wild Bear

Get up close and personal with LIVE turkey vultures and gyrfalcons courtesy of Nature’s Educators! Learn how their special adaptations and behaviors make them important members of nature’s cleanup crew.

Birds will be here March 19th and 20th 12pm-3pm at Wild Bear Nature Center.

Enjoy other crafts and activities featured during Frozen Dead Guy Days including a new compost exhibit, worms, and fun crafts during our opening hours 9am-5pm!

Winter Solstice: A Joyous Celebration!

Join Wild Bear and the whole community as we celebrate the beginning of Winter and the slow return of the light! Starting December 18th the Nature Center will be open for all to come and enjoy making candles and other wintertime crafts, story time, musical guests, plus an astronomy room to explore the science behind this special time of year! Explore our new exhibits, spend time with friends and family, and take home a special handmade treasure. Don’t forget to get outside and check out our special solstice snowshoe hike with our experienced naturalists!

Saturday, September 25, 11am-6pm Wild Bear Nature Center will host its 20th annual “Enchanted Forest” on their property at Mud Lake! This is the Year of the Fox! Enjoy the magic of the fall season! Families and children of all ages take a tour on the trail and meet forest creatures (costumed characters) and learn about their natural habitats.
