Last year, thousands of people joined us to celebrate the planet at the 10th Wild Earth presented by Wild Bear and the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR)! Children had a blast in the Wild Bear’s Earth Obstacle Course and danced with SCFD’s Polar Bear, Wild Bear and Smokey Bear!!
Visitors of all ages met the raptors from HawkQuest, played Earth Jeopardy with the Museum of Nature and Science, met up with Thorne Ecological Institute and Avid4 Adventure, University of Colorado Museum, danced to the music of the Wild Okapi Marimba, and became mesmerized by the magic of the Bent Warren Erica Sodos!
We are thankful to the Scientific and Cultural Facilities District, My Therapy Company and Seagate Technology creating this amazing FREEEEEEE event!
In celebration of Earth Day, NCAR opens its doors and grounds for a day of fun for all ages under the sun. Explore the prestigious Mesa Lab where critical climate science research is happening every day. While there is ample parking at NCAR, participants are encouraged to carpool or bike, and to spend the entire day at Wild Earth including the trails surrounding the facility and lunch in the NCAR cafeteria (cash only).
