Outreach Program Assistant
Do you love being outdoors with kids? Are you looking for an opportunity to share your passion for our Wild Earth and support environmental education? Join our Environmental Science Outreach Programs to schools and group and help children develop a deeper appreciation for anthropods, pollinators, wriggly worms and other sweet creatures.
Want to join a fun, enthusiastic, outdoor-loving group of people and help them grow their award-winning environmental education/appreciation organization? We’re looking for energetic, creative, self-starters with great ideas and a love for our Wild Earth to reach out to our community. You’ll have lots of room to stretch out and grow Wild Bear’s volunteer base. Come make new friends, broaden your horizons and have fun doing it.
Social networking specialist
If you are on a social network such as facebook, twitter, myspace, like to send out emails, are personable, and have a passion for our Wild Earth, you’re the right person for the job. This is a great resume builder opportunity. Use your networking expertise to create awareness about Wild Bear’s mission and increase participation in special events, campaigns and programs.
After-School Program Assistant
Do you love being outdoors with kids sharing your passion for our Wild Earth? Are you looking for an opportunity to make new friends, broaden your horizons and use your creativity? Come have fun with us from 3-6pm during the school year as an assistant to Wild Bear’s After-School Environmental Education Program.
Share your skills and support something you believe in! We have a variety of projects for which you could share your creativity and systems development skills among other things. Assist with mailings, databases, newsletters, program organization and event preparation.
Community Events Coordinator
Want to join a fun, laid-back, outdoor-loving group of people and help them grow their award-winning environmental education/appreciation organization? We’re looking for fun, creative, enthusiastic folks with great ideas and a love for our Wild Earth to reach out to support our community outreach events, including Wild Earth (in April), Boulder Farmer’s Market (April-Oct) and The Enchanted Forest (in October). These are all high-energy, exciting community events. Come make new friends, broaden your horizons and have fun doing it. Bring a friend!
Become a Board Member
Are you passionate about our wild Earth? Are you interested in making new friends and exploring new horizons? Do you have time and energy to give to your community? Are you committed to helping children and families develop deeper connections to nature?
Wild Bear is accepting applications from individuals with nonprofit experience or specific skills that will translate quickly to productivity and contribution at a high level. Expertise in many areas is welcome including fundraising, marketing, finance, networking, law and operations. Leadership ability is essential. Some boards are strongly advisory in nature and need only commit to one meeting a month, but we’re building a high-energy board dedicated to getting things done. Learn more!
Be a Host Family this summer!
Wild Bear hires an amazing staff for its summer camp. They go through a rigorous hiring process and Wild Bear only hires those with the highest of recommendations and clear an FBI background check. Our interns are usually University students from all over the country who are completing an internship through Wild Bear Mountain Ecology Center. Hosting one of these students would not only support these rising stars but also will be enriching to your family! Please consider hosting a Wild Bear intern. Contact us for more information.
