What is the Mountain Program?
Wild Bear's Mountain Program provides a full day of fun in the mountains! Operating from 8am-3:30pm, this program is based at the Nederland Elementary School in Nederland.
NEW! Bear Cubs: Join us on Wednesdays from 10:30am-12:00pm. Ages three through five and an accompanying adult meet at Wild Bear's picnic tables at Mud Lake Open Space. We will enjoy stories, music with Granny Janny, and nature discovery along Wild Bear's Linnea's Loop trail. Create nature treasures to take home!
Nederbugs: Five and Six year olds participate in hands on discovery integrated with stories music and art in the Discovery Lab and surrounding outdoor areas at Nederland Elementary School in Nederland, Colorado.
Junior Rangers: Six and Seven year olds get their hands dirty and cultivate the Biodome, discover the wild animals on the Nederland Elementary School trails and create nature discovery tools to take home.
Wild Naturalists: Seven to Nine year olds experience a higher level naturalist study as the Wild Naturalists will venture on and off site to discover wild mountain places to study the natural world through adventure, art and scientific collection.
Mountain Youth Adventure Program: Nine to twelve year olds delve into natural science on a deeper level through adventures such as mountain biking, hiking and flyfishing.
