Wild Naturalists
Workshops for 7 - 9 year olds
Wild Naturalists will meet at Nederland Elementary School. From here, we’ll venture out onto the trails surrounding the Continental Divide where we can discover the montane forests, hike through a krummholz of the subalpine, or witness firsthand the alpine tundra.
Two days per week (M/W, T/Th) $110
Friday All Ages Workshops, $55
Hours: 8am-3:30pm
After Care Program
Cost: $20/day drop in rate and $15/day with a set summer schedule.
Families with a commitment of 2 days per week for the entire summer receive 1/2 price After care and 3 days per week or more for the entire summer receive
FREE aftercare!
Shuttle service: $7/day/child pick up 8:15, drop off 4pm

Discover Boulder's Watershed, follow its streams to the very top! Venture past snowfields and up to the alpine tundra.

Mountains, Rocks and Gold
Calling all rock heads! Hike with geologists to learn about what these Rocky Mountains are made of. Discover the local mining history, and visit a real mine.

We're heading to the woods to set up camp! Equipped with everything we need, we'll become Leave No Trace forest stewardship experts as we learn the tools of the trade. Bring your own tent our use one of ours!

Join us on our orienteering course and search for hidden treasure! Learn the skills to be able to find your way in the wilderness. Follow the clues, use your compass and map, and find the treasure.

Grab your hammers and nails and construct homes for the wild birds. Take a trip to investigate the man-made homes of the Mountain Bluebird, and make a lasting contribution by constructing your own bird box.

When humans and wildlife collide, wildlife often suffers. Learn what it takes to safely rescue wild animals and return them to their natural habitats.

Why are flowers different colors? Why do some smell sweet while others smell bad? Explore the abundance of Rocky Mountain wildflowers and work with botanists to add to Wild Bear's herbarium.

Pinch, Form and Coil
Follow the path of the prehistoric potters by creating beautifully crafted clay vessels. Mold your piece and paint it using natural fibers.

Flying High
Wouldn't it be great to be able to fly? Understand the aerodynamics of those who can, the birds, the dragonflies and the bees! Create aircraft to enter in the race to the finish! Create other mechanisms that take to the air.
