Wild Bear offers after school workshops every Monday-Thursday after school 3:15-5:30 for ages 5-12. Ride the bus to Wild Bear from Nederland Elementary School.

SPRING WORKSHOP THEMES:
January “Sculpture and Snow”
Build in the snow and discover the wonder of snowflakes and ice crystals. Discover how animals in the wild adapt to survive in the cold. Create unique, three dimensional works of art that capture the beauty of the season!
February “Community Art Project!”
We live in a beautiful town that gives us so much to be thankful for! Let’s give back, using all of our talents and brainpower to show our appreciation. This month, Wild Bear will commit to helping our community become as green as possible and will present a “Greenie Award” to the local business we vote as the most earth-friendly.
March “Sounds of Spring”
What does spring sound like? Let’s explore the music of the season including wind, bird songs, water and more. Make your own musical instrument and keep time with the rhythms of spring.
April “Life Cycles”
Observe the wonder of new life as the ground thaws and Spring begins! This month is all about animals and insects and discovering how they grow, change, and become adults. Make handmade paper and life-cycle journals to document our discoveries.
May “Plant Science”
It’s time to get back outside and enjoy the sunshine! Take a hike, discover what is starting to grow, and begin work on the Wild Bear garden! Paint rocks and create mosaics to decorate your garden at home.
If enrollment allows, groups will be divided between
Mountain Rangers (ages 5-7) and Wild Naturalists (ages 8-12).
