June 3-7 ~ Busy Beavers Slap! That’s what the Beaver’s tail does to warn predators! Let’s meet the beaver and other animals and learn about the homes they build. Can you build like an animal in the wild? Use your imagination and create your own burrow, nest or den!
June 10-14 ~ Crawling and Flying Creature Get up close and personal with some arthropods and discover their important jobs in nature. Lift up the rocks to find those ground dwellers! Beetles, worms, and roly polys! Soar through the air and find those winged creatures, the dragonflies, damselflies, honey bees and more!
June 17-21 ~ Animal Musicians Did you know that wild animals make a lot of music that they all understand? Do you understand them and can they understand you? Let’s learn their tunes and explore music in time with nature! Create an instrument of the earth the take home.
June 24-28 ~ Sprouts Get your hands in the soil and explore the life of a seed. Will it grow? Will it bloom? Take home your own mini-garden and find out!
July1-5 ~ Icky Sticky Wacky Tacky Discover the ooey gooey smelly and tasty qualities of the natural world! Tree sap, honey, mud, chocolate, and….oobleck!?
July 8-12 ~ Fossils, Rocks, and Dinosaurs Search for rocks! Smooth, flat, rough and colorful. Make a collection to treasure forever. Sometimes rocks can tell us stories of the animals that lived long ago. Become a paleontologist and discover the dinosaurs and other ancient animals.
July 15-19 ~ Wild Wind Crafts Learn about the wonders of the air and create flying birds, planes, windsocks and pinwheels! Create your own kite to soar through the sky. Fly kites with us!
July 22-26 ~ Aquatic Adventures Perfect timing to play in the water! Discover the creek, the pond and the reservoir. Who lives in the water, down deep? Let’s experiment with the water, sinking and floating and making our own boats out of natural materials!
July 29- Aug 2 ~ Wood Fairies and Forest Gnomes Build houses for our magical friends! Learn about how creatures, magical and wild, adapt and survive in the forest. Use your imagination in the woods and discover the many treasures there are to be found!
August 5-9 ~ Magic Mountain Mystery Explore the many mysteries of the forest through games, scavenger hunts and more. Read a map, follow the clues, and see what you can find!
There are different ways to register: 1) Wild Bear provides online registration. or 2) Call us at 303-258-0495 and we can take your registration over the phone or 3) Fill out the registration form below and mail it to us with a check made payable to Wild Bear Mountain Ecology Center. 4) or visit us at Wild Bear in downtown Nederland to register with a live person! We are open 7 days/week noon-5:30pm.

- Camps run 8:00am-3:30pm in Nederland, Colorado.
- After care from 3:30-5:30pm in Nederland OR shuttle service from Boulder available.
- Choose any or all days of the week!
Pricing:
- Sign up for any combination of days: $60/day (8-3:30), $15/day after care (3:30-5:30)
- Bulk rate: Sign up for 15 days or more: $55/day (8-3:30) and $10/day (3:30-5:30)
- Shuttle fee: $8/child/day between Boulder and Ned (Drop off your child at 8am in Boulder and pick up at 4pm in Boulder).
