<div><span style="font-size: large;">Isn&#8217;t the weather just crazy?   Weather and Climate affects everyone&#8217;s lives and this is especially true in Colorado where extremes occur more frequently than many other parts of the country.  Learn about long-range seasonal weather predictions from NOAA&#8217;s National Weather Service and Climate Prediction Center and learn about the impact of global weather patterns such as El Nino and La Nina on our state&#8217;s climate.</span></div>
<div>Steve Williams has been a Scientist at the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) in Boulder for the past 20 years and is currently Head of the Data Management Group in NCAR&#8217;s Earth Observing Laboratory participating in research field projects around the world. Before accepting a position at NCAR, Steve worked for NASA (Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, AL), taught Meteorology at the University of Alabama-Huntsville, and was Assistant State Climatologist for Alabama. Steve attended Graduate School in Meteorology at Texas A&amp;M University. Steve and his family are proud to call Nederland their home for the past 18 years!</div>

<p>Join us for this open house to create special gifts, enjoy beautiful music and entertainment and gaze at the night sky through telescopes!  All ages are invited!</p>
<p>2:00-3pm “Kristina Murray”, singer/songwriter and alternative country music. Boulder based, from Atlanta.</p>
<p>3:30-5pm,  “Lynda Bell and Friends” singer/songwriter who enjoys playing folk music with a touch of blues. From Jamestown</p>
<p>5:30-6:30, Father Winter will share his magic!  Come on in from the cold, enjoy a hot drink and enjoy the show!!</p>
<p>Crafts for gift making all day:  Bath salts, Herbal eye pillows (lavender and peppermint), lip balm,  and dip bees wax candles.</p>
<p>Hot Chai and Cocoa and desserts will be available all day to celebrators!</p>
