INSTRUCTOR BIO
Michelle Witte | (she/her) | AKA Roots
I grew up in Colorado Springs, exploring all of colorful Colorado as a young child. I moved to northern California shortly after high school and lived there for over a decade before enthusiastically moving back to Colorado to join the Wild Bear team as our Nature Education Director. During my time out west I received my BS in Environmental Management and Protection from Humboldt State University and worked as an educator and naturalist in Yosemite National Park, and the Lake Tahoe region.
I am a firm believer in the power of a creative education and a connection to nature as a means to protect our Earth and a pathway for people to thrive. I love to practice yoga, travel, backpack, snowboard, rock climb, dance, and learn new things!
