Rock Hounds

As many of you know, I grew up in the mountains of northern Colorado.  My childhood experiences are what inspired me to create Wild Bear Nature Center.

My parents still live in my childhood home and every time I visit my dad and I take a hike in the woods and solve the world’s problems!  We also go on a treasure hunt and find all of the beautiful quartz rocks that I grew up with on the land.  I always return home with a car load of gorgeous quartz rocks.

These rocks are being saved to embed into the landscape at the nature center, to tell the story of the inspiration of one child’s experiences in nature which translated to building the high alpine net zero nature center on 3,000 acres!
