The mountain lion that spent early March in old town has passed away. The necropsy results are still pending, but it is highly likely that she died of old age. She was found on March 14th by a visiting family, who immediately alerted both the nature center and the police department. Colorado Parks & Wildlife is allowing us the opportunity to have the mountain lion taxidermied to be used as a teaching and learning tool within the Nature Center. Please find a link to this beauty in her final days of life here, recorded by local Charlie Allen.
