Visit the Mountain Ecology Center

Visit Boulder County’s only non-profit Nature Center!

Open Monday-Saturday noon-5pm

Valentines are here!  Fair trade chocolate, hearts in nature cards, jewelry (handcrafted from antique recycled glass!), books, games, and so much more! All proceeds support the community!  It’s a win win…

Wild Bear’s eco-gift shop includes locally hand-crafted, fair trade and educational products.  Make the journey to support Boulder County’s only non-profit nature center!
In May of 2010, Wild Bear got it’s first “den:” donors and volunteers created the Mountain Ecology Center in downtown Nederland.  Now on exhibit is our eco-arts gallery, created by the children who participate in Eco-Arts after school.  Also, find the newly hatched silk moths, our Arthropod Zoo and of course visit the Mud Lake Room!  We hope to see you soon.

"Wild Earth Goods" at Wild Bear Mountain Ecology Center has beautiful and ecologically sound gifts making it easy to purchase with the earth in mind.

The "Mud Lake Room" is a lovely exhibit of our local preservation, Mud Lake. It displays the Arapahoe Glacier on the back wall and includes an exhibit of the 30 tons of trash that Wild Bear removed from the 200 acres.
